Google Calendar Integration

Connect agent calendars securely using OAuth. Understand how the connection persists.

How the Integration Works

SAVVii uses Google OAuth to securely connect to each agent's Google Calendar. Unlike older integrations that required making a calendar public, this approach means:

How tokens work

When an agent connects their calendar, Google issues two tokens:

The system automatically uses the refresh token to get a new access token before each one expires. This is why agents only need to connect once.

Think of it like a hotel key card: Google is the hotel, your server holds the master key, and the app uses short-term day passes to read calendar data — all invisibly in the background.

Connecting an Agent's Calendar

    Go to the Agents tab and click on an agent card to expand it.

    Scroll down to the Calendar section and click Connect Google Calendar.

    A Google login popup appears. The agent signs in with their Google account.

    Google asks for permission to read their calendar. Click Allow.
  5. 5
    The popup closes automatically and the calendar loads immediately.
Tip: Agents can also connect their own calendar from their agent view under My Calls — they do not need to ask an admin to do it for them.

Test Users (important during setup)

While your app is in Google's "testing" mode (before it is verified), only email addresses you have added as test users can connect their calendar. To add a test user:

    APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen

    Scroll to Test users → Add users

    Enter each agent's Google email address and save
Remember: Add every agent's Google email here before they try to connect, otherwise they will see an "Access blocked" error.

Troubleshooting
